I decided to take a chance and give this book a read. I am so pleased I did. This author has written a truly enchanting story. A legend about a King, known as the Garrow King, whispers in the minds of the folk of a secret village, hidden beyond a mysterious mountain. There is magic and superstition, and a vicious enemy of the crown, wonderfully penned within this intriguing story. The characters are so very believable. This book is a diamond in the rough. I could see this as a film even. It is so beautifully vivid and full of fabulous gripping moments. You know its a good story when you can't put the book down. This is one of those books. I was captivated by the cleverly woven plot and the intriguing characters. You will find yourself trying to guess in your head. Then later grinning from ear to ear as you discover the twists and magical truths wrapped up in its detailed pages. The Author did not hold back with her imagination and clear interest in mythology and folk tales. I gobbled this up and savoured its magical wonderment. It is open to a sequel, which I reeeeaallly hope the Author does. She has a new set of fans in my house as my son also enjoyed this. I know one day I am going to say to friends "I read her first"
Keeping my fingers crossed there is a sequel. The story seeds in the readers imagination of a further story building up. So I am hopeful
I have read many amazon published books and this one is a gem to cherish. You won't be disappointed

I am familiar with Christina's writing from her appearance on several poetry podcasts & sites.
Her way of summoning words to command your imagination is something I have only experienced when reading big-name books.
I picked one up as a curiosity when I saw the name as well as an investment in a first edition from a future legend!
